About El Shaddai
El Shaddai is a Catholic-faith support group that meets regularly at the Hope Workers’ Center for worship and community. The El Shaddai DWXI Prayer Partners Fellowship International is a Catholic Charismatic Movement, with the purpose of bringing about a revival of the true Christian spirit in the Catholic faith. It aims to raise up a community of generous faith-filled believers in Jesus Christ as recorded in Acts 2:42-47. Since the international movement’s inception, it has spread to communities throughout the world.
“El Shaddai” is a combination of two Hebrew words: “El” refers to God, while “Shaddai” means Almighty. Thus El Shaddai is translated as “God Almighty” and El Shaddai takes its inspiration from God’s might. It is the El Shaddai vision to bring about a revival of the true Christian spirit in Catholic faith, particularly among members of its group. Members commit themselves to raising Christian families and community as Spirit-filled, generous, loving, victorious, joyful, and united believers of God who care and share each other’s burdens and blessings for the Glory of God. The group meets every Sunday afternoon for three hours of music, dancing, and celebration with each other.
Studying the Bible
“They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need.Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved” (Acts 2: 42-47).
Join the El Shaddai time of fellowship on Sunday evenings from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the basement of the Hope Workers’ Center. Contact us for more information about the group.
